Through the hard times of
the NICU, we do have some very fun memories from the NICU. Here are some
pictures that remind us of the good memories of those days!
|
This
was taken right before Haley's first sponge bath. She had pulled the
nasal cannula off her nose and we thought she looked like a little
vampire! I think this picture is just too cute! |
|
This
is Mike and I giving Haley her first sponge bath. She had to have
sponge baths until the beginning of February due to her Broviac cather
.. it couldn't get wet. She hated sponge baths, as you can tell! |
|
Haley's
first outfit! We found these really tiny preemie clothes at a store
in California and they fit her really good and had velcro straps that
were easy to get tubes and wires around! She looked so much different
with clothes on! |
|
Haley's
first meal from the bottle! She did pretty good with this, and she
sure does look cute, doesn't she! She got her first bottle on February
1st, 1999. She also moved into an open crib that day! |
|
I
have always thought that it looks like Haley is praying in this picture,
or saying to me, "Mommy, please take me home with you!"
I just thought this picture was too cute not to share it!
|
 |
This
is the only picture from the NICU we caught of Haley smiling. I think
we sat there with the camera on her for hours trying to catch her
smiling! It was well worth it in the end because this picture is adorable! |
 |
Yaaawwwnnn!
It is hard work being a preemie in the NICU! This and the one above
are 2 of my favorite pictures from the NICU. They are so cute! A yawn
and a smile, it made me feel like she was comfy! |
 |
This
was taken during Haley first real tub bath! As you can see, she enjoyed
these much better than those stinkin' sponge baths! She looks like
she is very happy in there, don't you think? |
 |
I
have always loved this picture of our family in the NICU. It looks
like such a happy picture and really reminds me that through it all,
we were always still a happy family who loved each other very much! |
 |
This
was taken when we roomed in with Haley while we were waiting to go
home. Haley and Daddy fell asleep together. How sweet! |
These are the times we choose
to remember, the good times and the accomplishments. The bad times are
a distant memory. Though they will never be forgotten, we choose to celebrate
the miracle of Haley being here and thriving with us today!
