I can't believe it! Haley is DONE WITH CHEMO! (And check out those pig tails!)
Thursday she had her off treatment bone marrow biopsy and spinal tap, and
they both looked great! Wednesday night was her last chemo. It is so hard
to believe it is finally over after 2 1/2 years. In a lot of ways, it seems
like it has been forever, but at the same time, it seems to have flown by.
Funny how that can happen. We were reflecting on how sick Haley was in the
beginning and how far she has come. It really is amazing. She is such an amazing
child, such an inspiration to us and so many others. I have watched several
families lose their children to this disease, and it breaks my heart. I am
so thankful that Haley is doing so well. I hope that she will never have to
worry about cancer and chemotherapy again, and can just concentrate on being
a normal kid for once. I have so many things to say, but I have to cut it
short for now. I wil try to update again soon. I wanted to let everyone know
she is done with her chemo and doing fabulous! Has been in continuous complete
remission since day 8 of treatments. Thanks for all the support you have all
given us over the last few years!
